I took a picture of the Moon and Venus a few nights ago and... it was totally overexposed by my phone, and didn't look anything like how I had actually seen it.
So, I thought I might as well put my art skills to work, and I painted what I had actually observed with my human eyes that night.
I believe painting and illustration will never go extinct, because as convenient as photography is, it rarely captures what the human eye actually sees, which can be just as beautiful (or even more so) than the mere record of photons hitting a CCD (or film I guess).
And let's not even talk about how unoriginal and uninteresting AI-generated images are.
